Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson, is one of the greatest Hollywood legends of all time. She showed off her talent as a singer especially in her films. Marilyn Monroe was in her time the most famous and most photographed woman in the world. Today she is considered a pop icon, cult figure and legend. Many famous artists such as Salvador Dalí and Willem de Kooning have used Monroe's image in their paintings. Numerous musicians wrote songs about her. A famous example is Elton John's "Candle In The Wind." Her look has been copied by pop singers like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Gwen Stefani or Christina Aguilera.
